About the awards

The Queensland Premier's Literary Awards celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2008.

Over the years, the awards have gained a national reputation for recognising outstanding authors, established or aspiring, and bodies of work across a variety of genres.

"Recognition is a hard thing to measure but winning this Award was enormously important to me.  It was a great honour to be invited to join such an awe-inspiring gallery of creative Australians".  Christopher Clark, 2007 History Book Award winner.
